Does dying have any effect?

anyone know how rare these are?

You know how it says "Dying only effects the material attached to the hilt" does that mean the tassel or the hilt itself?

I just found a gold, max broadsword. the only thing i noticed was that when i use a weapon spell the whole skin changed and gets about twice as long, is that a but or is it suposed to be like that?Dumazz 01:13, 1 June 2007 (CDT)

I tried dying one today and it wouldn't even allow me to apply the dye.
