Talk:Devourer

i think its important to state that devourers are roughly human-sized. "giant" doesnt really tell a user how big they are. :P --Crusty 10:37, 22 Aug 2005 (EST)

And I do not think that "roughly the same size as humans" is correct to begin with. If you actually look closely, they are almost twice as big as humans. I am not sure what you are talking about when you say they are roughtly the same size, it's not even close. This is why I put "giant." It may not be specific, but it is correct. Your description is specific, but is incorrect. In general, I see the reader coming to this page to know what they are and what they do, not what they look like. My guess is the player saw them in the game and wants to learn about them. So, it is not a big deal for me. But I am sure you are wrong. --Karlos 17:24, 22 Aug 2005 (EST)

The "packs of 3" line doesn't quite work for me. I've seen the come out in packs of 1 - 8, with no real stand out number happening most often. --Rainith 10:24, 4 November 2005 (EST)

Talk a walk in he Sage Lands or Old Ascalon, they pop in numbers of 2-3. Sure, 1 happens sometimes and 4-5 happens, but most of the time it's 2-3. Anyways, let's make it "few to several" that's vague enough to make us all happy. :) --Karlos 12:30, 4 November 2005 (EST)
That works for me, although I usually run into groups of 4-6 in Maguuma. --Rainith 16:06, 4 November 2005 (EST)
If you stop running and actually approach slowly, you'll see they're actually two groups of 2-3 :D --Karlos 18:08, 4 November 2005 (EST)
Could be, or I could just be getting lucky and having 2 "packs" spawn in close to the same spot underground as they usually all come up right in the same immediate area, just to the right around the corner as you leave Druid's Overlook.
Anyway I just took out the "of 3" and made it "out of the ground in packs" I think that is aceptable. --Rainith 18:13, 4 November 2005 (EST)
It might also be worth mentioning that using spells (and not just "un-evadeable" attacks) can also be effectively used against the whiptail devourers. Other than that, everything else looks pretty good. Cheers. Geblah187 06:09, 5 November 2005 (EST)

[edit] New Structure

I've been using this article as a testing ground for a general formating of species articles. Please give feed-back under GuildWiki_talk:Style_and_formatting/Bestiary#Species. Thanks. --Tetris L 09:49, 16 November 2005 (UTC)
