- It just lessens the flexibility of the builds that used it, in my opinion. Instead of being able to spam knockdowns all over the field, they are limited to the opposing frontline/overreaching midline. Not unusable, but far less useful. — Powersurge360Violencia 02:34, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

- Yea...I cant help but feel that arenanet just doesn't want smiting monks in the game anymore. I know mesmers were taking advantage of it, but come on! There's barely anything that a smiting monk can do in pvp or pve now. The only use in pvp is reversal of damage and mild condition and hex removal. And that's pretty much it for PvE excluding 600Smite teams...Arenanet needs to add some Smiting prayer skills or something. perhaps they could change one of the wrath AOE skills and make it a ranged target spell. Reversal of Damage, Smite Hex, Smite Condition, Castigation Signet, Smiter's Boon, Divine Boon and some more energy management works pretty well. ــѕт.мıкε 04:02, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
