Talk:Storm Artifact
From GuildWiki
The comment about dye is incorrect. Dye changes the entire colour of the artifact, however it goes a colour unlike that of the dye.
I have an elonian Storm Artifact which won't accept dyes :( is there a bug with my particular item, or do elonian ones just not accept the dye? It's a gold BTW, not a collector/crafter one. Bubbinska 06:54, 10 January 2007 (CST)
- It could be that for some reason, the elonian versions don't take dyes... I've got a collector Air Wand that is normally dyeable, but it won't let me in this case. I'll need to test on a normal Air Wand dropped in elona to really tell the difference... Jioruji Derako 21:52, 17 January 2007 (CST)
- I got a collector storm artifact from elona and it accepted dye :| That's wierd, perhaps investigation is needed. Bubbinska 03:20, 18 January 2007 (CST)
- Most definately. Collector Storm Artifact from Cantha accepts dye as well... seems strange that an item that's normally dyable would have a non-dyable version...Jioruji Derako 13:00, 18 January 2007 (CST)
- just bought one r8 purp +12 energy with inscription slot and it's not taking dye :S
- weird, advantage in collector weapons, lol --

[edit] (Grey) Dye behavior
Quote: "A Storm Artifact's default dye color is "red." A Storm Artifact can be colored with a gray dye, making it possible to add the exact dye colors after it's been grayed." I just tested that with a collector item from Droknar's Forge and it is wrong. Dye behavior is as before the applied Grey dye. Also Red dye changes the original color too, only very slightly though. If it has the same weird dye behavior as the Flame Artifact then Tyrian collector items will dye differently to Elonian ones. --Birchwooda Treehug 15:35, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
