Named for a wise old Centaur with a penchant for peaceful living, visitors to this outpost do their business among the roots of a gargantuan stonewood tree, the largest known specimen of its kind.

Follow the road south and southwest from Quarrel Falls through Silverwood into Ettin's Back. From there, follow the winding road east, west, and then back east to reach Ventari's Refuge. The quest White Mantle Wrath: Demagogue's Vanguard, which can be obtained in Quarrel Falls, leads here.

• Councilor Vaylor and Deep Root are located just outside Ventari's Refuge in Ettin's Back. These two NPCs offer skill quests and primary quests to advance the plot.
• This outpost is a popular place to start a group for farming the Totem Axe.
